Tajikistan's government and UNICEF convened an investment roundtable in Dushanbe on October 16 to strengthen integrated social and child protection.
Participants examined coordinated financing, services and policy priorities for 2027–2030. The meeting follows a child-protection reform approved in May and legislation banning corporal punishment in 2024.
UNICEF cited a 2023 survey in which 56% of children aged one to 14 experienced violent discipline. The findings underpin calls for prevention, early intervention and accessible family support.
