UNICEF said on October 15 that reports of a roof collapse at a private school in Peshawar’s Dir Colony indicated at least 28 children and one teacher had died, with more than 50 people injured.
The agency called for regular school-building safety inspections and offered response and psychosocial support. These figures reflect information cited in that statement, rather than a newly confirmed final toll.
