Protests in Tirana entered a sixth day on October 18, with demands concerning education, corruption and Prime Minister Edi Rama’s resignation, according to Al Jazeera.

Rama rejected calls to leave office and blamed opponents and outside influence for unrest. Police used tear gas and water against demonstrators, while health authorities reported injuries among civilians and officers. The political confrontation remains unresolved.
