Jordan and Syria agreed on a joint security committee to examine Jordanian strikes inside Syria, according to a joint statement carried by QNA dated 27 October. Ayman Safadi and Asaad al-Shaibani spoke by phone, with Safadi expressing regret over civilian deaths.

Jordan described the strikes as targeting Islamic State sites to neutralise imminent threats; that remains its stated rationale. Establishing a committee is a mechanism for examining facts and coordinating field activity, not a published investigative finding. Both ministers stressed civilian protection, sovereignty and cooperation against weapons and drug trafficking.
