China's foreign ministry announced on October 16 that the foreign ministers of Djibouti and the Republic of Congo would make official visits from October 19 to 25.
Spokesperson Mao Ning said both visits were at Foreign Minister Wang Yi's invitation. The Congo announcement concerns the Republic of Congo, rather than the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The visit notices did not announce signed agreements; the diplomatic engagements remain scheduled for the following week under the published timetable.
