China’s general public budget revenue rose 5.1% to CNY17.23 trillion during the first nine months of 2026, QNA reported on October 24, citing the finance ministry. Spending reached CNY21.02 trillion, up 1%.
Tax receipts did not move uniformly. Value-added and corporate income tax revenue increased, while domestic consumption and land appreciation tax receipts fell. The revenue headline therefore does not establish an equally strong recovery across activities. These are partial-year budget figures, rather than a final assessment of the full year.
