Oman's political affairs undersecretary Khalifa Alharthy met German foreign-office state secretary Géza Andreas von Geyr to discuss bilateral cooperation and regional tensions, according to an October 15 Omani statement.
Talks explored diversifying existing cooperation and developing new opportunities. Oman said the German official expressed appreciation for its mediation and de-escalation efforts.
Officials from both countries attended, including Germany's ambassador to Oman. The announcement describes diplomatic discussions; it does not set out a binding agreement or a timetable for resolving the regional disputes.
