She took the role in early 2025 after leading Swedish broadcaster SVT. Her statement highlighted efforts to develop the foundation’s activities and widen the prizes’ global reach. The foundation manages Alfred Nobel’s legacy and financial assets to sustain the awards, a role distinct from announcing winners in individual disciplines.
