An animated film created by students at Al-Balqa Applied University has been selected for screening at the Cairo Francophone festival, according to Petra's report dated 14 October 2026.

The agency identified the film as Blood Mandate. It was developed as a graduation project at the Prince Abdullah bin Ghazi Faculty of Information Technology under the supervision of Dr Hiba al-Hiyari. Students Nasser al-Azza, Moayad al-Atiyat and Yousef Yassin handled the writing, directing, design and production stages.

The project applies computer-graphics and animation training to a story drawing on the world of the Vikings. Selection for a screening is the achievement reported here; it does not establish that the film has won an award.
