Istanbul ministerial talks address regional de-escalation

Ministers from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Türkiye, Pakistan, France, Germany, Italy and Britain discussed regional conflicts in Istanbul on the Friday preceding QNA’s October 24 report. Palestinian issues and maritime tensions were among the subjects.

The report says participants supported dialogue and negotiated solutions grounded in UN resolutions. That is agreement on a diplomatic approach, not an announced ceasefire or an implemented settlement. The Friday meeting and Saturday publication date should also remain distinct when describing the timing of the development.
