Bulldozing south of Jenin for settlement road prompts access concerns

WAFA reported bulldozing south of Jenin for a road linking settlements on 26 October 2026. Local settlement affairs official Tareq Ighbariyeh described a route through land around Arraba, Marka, Misilya and Qabatiya.

He said earlier seizure decisions covered approximately 178 dunams for an approximately 11.5-kilometre route, while actual work extended beyond the stated areas. Comparing construction with those boundaries and assessing residents’ land access are key follow-up questions. The figures and discrepancy are attributed to the official, not an independent survey of the maps.
