A UN report published on October 15 highlighted the Chindindindi cooperative in Malawi’s Mzimba district, with 210 members including 120 women, providing training, market access and group savings.
It described farmer Eunice Gondwe’s experience using soybean income to support her household and her son’s schooling. The account illustrates how cooperative organisation can ease marketing barriers, without treating one family’s outcome as universal.
