The Netherlands announced a $12 million grant supporting Palestinian water-sector reform, WAFA reported on 28 October. The announcement came during Cairo talks between Water Authority head Ziad al-Mimi and Dutch water envoy Meike van Ginneken.

Discussions focused on institutional reform, resource-management efficiency and sustainable services in Gaza and the West Bank. The funding announcement concerns sector capacity, not confirmation that particular networks have been repaired. The report supplied neither a disbursement schedule nor a project-by-project allocation, which would be needed to track delivery.
