Palestinian Justice Minister Sharhabil al-Zaeem discussed documentation, forensic work and family support with Cyprus’s Committee on Missing Persons, WAFA reported on 26 October 2026. The meeting followed a cooperation memorandum.

He said the national team’s operating framework had been approved and specialist committees formed. Planned technical exchanges concern a national registry, identification and returning remains to relatives. Building this process is distinct from resolving individual cases: further technical meetings were agreed, but no new identification or discovery of remains was announced.
