Palestine and UNDP discuss financing for biodiversity protection

Palestinian environment authority head Zaghlool Samhan discussed financing the national biodiversity strategy with UNDP’s Cassie Flynn, WAFA reported on 28 October. The meeting took place alongside the biodiversity conference in Yerevan.

Options included national-strategy acceleration partnerships, Global Environment Facility projects and restoration of damaged Gaza ecosystems. Technical teams will continue developing cooperation and projects. This identifies routes toward funding, rather than approval of a grant with a specified value or completion of environmental recovery.
