The PLO Executive Committee opposed prospective large-scale UNRWA staff dismissals after an evening meeting in Ramallah on October 25, WAFA reported. It called for about 70 million dollars in urgent funding, including salaries for the next two months, and dialogue with staff representatives.

This is a funding appeal and a position on proposed measures, not confirmation that money has arrived or dismissals have been completed. The committee linked staffing to education, health and relief services while also seeking sustainable funding. Emergency salary support addresses an immediate obligation; it does not by itself establish the agency’s longer-term budget stability.
