Qatar–Saudi call combines solidarity with de-escalation coordination

Qatar’s prime minister and foreign minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, reaffirmed solidarity with Saudi Arabia in a call with Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan, Qatar News Agency reported on 26 October. They discussed diplomatic coordination to reduce regional tensions.

The Qatari statement linked Saudi security to collective Gulf security while supporting efforts toward a comprehensive peace agreement. It combines support for Saudi sovereignty with diplomacy. It announced neither joint military measures nor the completion of the agreement being sought.
