Qatar’s Years of Culture outlines partnerships through 2030

Qatar’s Years of Culture initiative announced partnerships with Egypt and Greece in 2027, Italy in 2028, the Netherlands and Switzerland in 2029, and Portugal and Spain in 2030, according to QNA.

The programme covers literature, arts, education and heritage, including Qatar’s announced guest-of-honour participation at Cairo’s book fair in January 2027. Naming partner countries creates a cooperation framework rather than a complete event calendar. The initiative also notes that activities can begin before, and continue beyond, the designated cultural year.
