Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan and Syrian counterpart Asaad Al-Shaibani met in Riyadh on October 16 to discuss ties and regional challenges, Arab News reported.
The newspaper said Al-Shaibani reaffirmed Syrian solidarity with Saudi Arabia following recent Houthi attacks on civilian facilities and linked Saudi security with that of Syria and the region.
The meeting followed an October 11 telephone conversation about attacks on King Khalid International Airport. The report highlights cooperation and political coordination without announcing a new bilateral agreement.
