Singapore announced that President Tharman Shanmugaratnam will visit Sweden from October 17 to 21, the first state visit there by a Singaporean president. It marks 60 years of diplomatic relations.
The programme includes meetings with King Carl XVI Gustaf, the prime minister and parliamentary representatives, alongside business and youth-focused engagements.
Activities in Gothenburg will address transport and university research. A ministerial, parliamentary and business delegation will accompany the president, according to the foreign ministry's October 16 announcement.
