Shelling and demolitions reported in south Lebanon as framework implementation faces obstacles

Qatar News Agency, citing Lebanon’s National News Agency, reported Israeli shelling of southern towns including Baraachit, Kounine, Mansouri and Majdal Zoun on 27 October, alongside a demolition in Khiam.

The report said implementation of a US-mediated June framework still faced obstacles. Its arrangements include gradual Lebanese army deployment, Israeli withdrawal and recovery measures. Progress therefore requires actual changes on the ground, beyond the agreement’s existence. The account included neither a casualty tally nor an Israeli response to the reported incidents.
