Swedish parliamentary speaker Andreas Norlén said on October 16 that informal talks with party representatives would continue after telephone discussions about forming a new government.
He plans to explain the next step on October 19. Norlén said parties could keep discussing possible arrangements without anyone currently receiving a specific exploratory mandate. The announcement does not name a new prime minister.
