Switzerland and the UK held their annual strategic dialogue in Bern on October 16, led by Alexandre Fasel and Stewart Wood. Bilateral relations and geopolitical challenges dominated the agenda.
Discussions covered trade, financial services, mobility, security cooperation and each country's relationship with the EU. Officials also exchanged views on Ukraine and the Middle East.
Science, innovation and artificial intelligence featured, including Geneva's planned 2027 AI summit. Switzerland said the talks followed completion of negotiations on a modernised free-trade agreement in July.
