Syria announces withdrawal of aviation warning as infrastructure recovery continues

Syria’s civil aviation authority announced the withdrawal of the international aircraft-safety warning for the Damascus flight information region, Qatar News Agency reported on 26 October. The authority said ICAO notified member states following technical reviews.

The announced support covers navigation and meteorological systems, airport rehabilitation and staff training. Withdrawal of the warning is therefore one part of recovery alongside operational improvements. The report did not provide a new flight schedule or airline commitments to resume services.
