US President Donald Trump publicly endorsed Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of Israel’s election on October 18, linking his support to security and confrontation with Iran, Al Jazeera reported.
The announcement adds an explicit American political position to the Israeli campaign. It does not determine the vote or the composition of the next government; Trump’s remarks were an endorsement, not an election result.
