The United Nations called for Israeli restrictions on UNIFIL movement in Lebanon to be lifted, QNA reported on 19 October 2026, citing spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric.
He said an Israeli tank blocked a logistics convoy near Bayyada, preventing supplies from reaching mission positions. He reaffirmed monitoring under Resolution 1701 and urged parties to avoid escalation and allow peacekeepers to perform their duties safely.
