UNESCO reported on October 16 on a Phnom Penh programme bringing education officials from 11 countries together to discuss teaching violent histories and supporting peace.
Held from September 28 to October 1 with the US Holocaust Memorial Museum and Cambodian partners, the training focused on teacher support, sensitive discussions and critical thinking.
Participants drew on Cambodia's memorial sites while considering how approaches should reflect learners' needs and the historical experiences of different communities.
