Local sources told WAFA that settlers took seventeen sacks of olives and harvesting equipment in Khirbet al Makhoul near Yabad on 22 October.

The sources said two vehicles hemmed in farmers, who left the sacks behind. Motors, hoses and harvesting sheets were also reported stolen. These details concern one incident, rather than total losses across the olive season.

Crop loss and the tools needed to harvest

An OCHA report dated 15 October identifies equipment and transport to presses among harvest-support needs. The reported incident therefore concerns the capacity to continue harvesting as well as the missing sacks. However, the local account supplies neither sack weights nor equipment values, so seventeen sacks cannot be converted into a documented financial loss or oil yield. OCHA.
