Canada announced Express Entry scoring changes on October 16, due to start November 3, with additional points for eligible Canadian experience or a qualifying job offer in a high-wage occupation.
The category depends on occupation-level wages, not an individual's salary. Scores will be recalculated automatically, but applicants seeking job-offer points must update their profiles. Immigration authorities said recalculation could take two weeks, with invitation rounds paused during that process.
