Egypt exported $160 million worth of dates to more than 60 markets in 2025, industrial official Amgad El Kadi told WAM at the Siwa dates festival on October 15.
Egypt exported $160 million worth of dates to more than 60 markets in 2025, industrial official Amgad El Kadi told WAM at the Siwa dates festival on October 15.
He said Egypt accounts for roughly one-fifth of world production and described cooperation with the UAE on farming, processing, packaging and exports since 2015.
Support included upgrades in Siwa and New Valley, refrigerated storage in Bahariya and assistance with quality certification. The figures represent the official's account of sector performance; the festival's announced run ended on October 16.
