Amman Chamber of Industry President Fathi Jaghbir met Syrian Ambassador to Jordan Ihsan al-Rumman on 13 October 2026 to discuss broader industrial and investment partnerships, according to Petra.

The discussion covered raw-material exchanges, joint projects, transport and shipping, and logistical obstacles. It also addressed reactivating the joint Jordanian-Syrian free zone, agricultural inputs and simpler customs procedures.

The Syrian-Jordanian Business Council announced preparations for a forum in Damascus to connect private-sector representatives with cooperation opportunities. These remain announced discussions and preparations. They should not be interpreted as confirmation that particular projects have been contracted or begun operations.
