The joint World Trade Organization–International Monetary Fund tariff tracker showed an update dated 8 October 2026, covering data for a broader group of economies.

The tool follows changes in applied import tariffs and allows data to be downloaded by trading partner, product classification and implementation date. Its update explains adjustments to how some averages are weighted, using more detailed information where available.

A change in a published figure can therefore partly reflect an improvement in calculation methods rather than only a new tariff decision. Readers comparing periods should consult the accompanying methodology. Updating a database and changing trade policy are different developments, even when both affect the numbers visible in a tracker.
