Jordanian Senate president Faisal Fayez called for a stronger parliamentary role in responding to crises during a conference in Rome, Petra reported on October 16.
His remarks addressed cooperation between institutions and different parts of society as economic, climate and cybersecurity challenges overlap. The emphasis was on coordinated responses rather than isolated institutional efforts.
The participation forms part of a discussion on how legislatures can support stability and manage risks. The remarks do not constitute a binding legislative agreement.
