Foreign ministers from 19 countries issued a joint statement opposing Colombia's opening of an embassy in Jerusalem, Jordan's Petra news agency reported on October 16.

Signatories included Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, Türkiye, Indonesia and Malaysia, alongside other Arab and Muslim countries. They urged reversal and reaffirmed support for a two-state solution with East Jerusalem as the Palestinian state's capital.

The report conveys the signatories' diplomatic position. The statement did not include a Colombian response to their demands.
