Qatar’s competition protection department won a co-chair role in the Arab Competition Network’s mergers and acquisitions working group, QNA reported on 17 October 2026.
The selection took place during the network executive council’s fifth meeting, held online. Responsibilities include helping prepare the work plan, organising specialist workshops and sharing expertise on economic concentrations. The role is intended to strengthen cooperation and regulatory knowledge among Arab competition authorities.
