The EQUIP study at Australia’s Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre tested a new scanner in 24 participants, QNA reported on 20 October. Results presented at the European nuclear medicine congress described diagnostic images from 60 seconds of acquired data.
The research used five radiotracers and compared different acquisition times. Its findings concern a specific scanner, protocols and a limited sample, not proof that all cancer scans now take one minute.
