Canadian health ministers met in Winnipeg on October 16 to discuss public funding, workforce pressures and access to care in rural and northern communities, including virtual services.
Their communiqué outlined further discussions on bilateral agreements, mental health and community care, with another meeting planned before year-end. British Columbia and Quebec were not parties to the statement because of election-related caretaker periods.
