QNA reported on 19 October 2026 that an experimental lens releasing bimatoprost helped cataract-surgery patients with glaucoma or elevated eye pressure.
More than 95% of experimental-lens recipients needed no additional glaucoma medication during one year, according to the account. Follow-up and larger trials continue to assess safety and effectiveness. The result does not mean universal availability or a reason to stop prescribed treatment.
