Ghana's health ministry and health service are reviewing the 2023–2027 digital-health strategy to incorporate artificial intelligence, with WHO and UNDP support.

An October 12 update says the process draws on implementation assessments identifying opportunities to improve data quality, monitoring and delivery across the health sector.

The review aims to strengthen governance, coordination and the use of technology in services. It is a policy-development initiative, not an announcement that automated systems will replace clinicians.
