Kenya had confirmed three Bundibugyo Ebola cases, including one death, by October 16, WHO reported. The two latest patients were relatives of the first case and were already quarantined before symptoms appeared.
Authorities are monitoring contacts daily. The health ministry reported no evidence of community transmission at that point, with WHO supporting testing, care and infection prevention.
The figures are a dated update. Kenya remained open without restrictions on travel, trade or gatherings.
