Around 117 school nurses attended a Qatar workshop under the asthma-friendly schools programme, QNA reported on 20 October. The health ministry organised it with Hamad Medical Corporation and Primary Health Care Corporation.
Training covered symptom recognition, triggers and coordination with families and care providers. The programme forms part of the 2025–2030 chronic respiratory disease plan and aims to improve school support for pupils with asthma.
