International Space Station astronauts began transferring samples and preparing experiments after Dragon's arrival, NASA reported on October 16. The spacecraft carried more than 6,300 pounds of supplies and research equipment.
Studies will examine artificial retinas, heart tissue, protein crystals and plant responses to microgravity. These are research investigations, not announcements of ready-to-use treatments.
Two roll-out solar arrays also arrived for installation during spacewalks planned for October 29 and November 5.
